Stan Denegre was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, February 15, 1952; admitted to bar, 1979, Louisiana, 2000, Texas; also admitted to practice before U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals; U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, and South Districts of Texas; U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Eastern and Western Districts of Louisiana. Preparatory education: Tulane University (B.A. 1977). Legal education: Tulane University School of Law (J.D. 1979). Editor, Tulane Maritime Lawyer; 1977 to 1979. Martindale-Hubbell "AV" rated. (Sergeant, U.S. Army Special Forces 1971-1973).
Legal Practice
Stan began his legal career in 1979 with the New Orleans law firm of Jones, Walker, Waechter, Poitevent, Carrère & Denègre, L.L.P. where he became a partner and ultimately became a partner in charge of the Construction Law Practice Group. In 2000, Stan moved to Dallas where he became a partner in the law firm of Goins, Underkofler, Crawford & Langdon, L.L.P., where his practice included construction, insurance coverage and insurance defense. In 2004, he joined the law firm of Capshaw, Goss & Bowers, L.L.P., where his practice concentrated on construction litigation representing owners, contractors and design professionals in the avoidance, prosecution and defense of construction claims. In 2007, he joined the Firm of Capshaw & Associates where he continues to provide dispute resolution services to the construction industry.
